Why We Gather
We believe that Jesus modelled connection to three different sized groups to effectively reach disciples.
In Scripture, we see him meet with a small “huddle-sized” group made up of Peter, James and John and Himself.
He also met in a family sized group made up of His 12 Apostles. He also regularly met with larger groups of a bit more than 70.
We use this as a guide for how we make opportunities and encourage people in meeting together.
How We Gather
Huddles/Bible Studies
We have small groups of 3-9 we like to call Huddles. These groups are very high in participation and challenge. We dive deep into the Bible and ask questions like “Where is God in this passage?” or “What did this mean to the original audience, and what can it mean for us?”. The Huddles, or Bible Studies, help to make disciples who are prepared to go out and make disciples.
Family Sized Groups
We meet in family-sized groups of 10-20 or so. These gatherings are often centered around an activity like a campfire, but they still have a lot of room for questions, discussions, and building relationships as we discover God through His word together.
Large Group/Sunday Service (10:30am)
We meet as a larger group every Sunday morning at 10:30am as part of our regular worship gathering. There is still an element of being open for participation, but it is structured more in a familiar way to those who have been around North American Churches.
We don’t currently have any children’s programming, but there is a space for parents/guardians to hang out with their babies/young children next to the sanctuary. We value children highly and welcome them to sit in and participate in the service with the older generations.
Monthly Meals Together
We like to eat together!
Jesus ate with all kinds of people. We have a meal after the Sunday morning gathering once a month and everyone is invited to join in.
Accessibility
Our main floor is fully accessible via a ramp from the parking lot. We have an accessible washroom on the main floor.
There are also multiple places in the sanctuary seating area to accommodate various accessibility needs. Please contact us if you have specific questions or concerns.
